The Billboard is a prime site for art during these challenging times: it is designed to be visible to scores of people; it can provide a touchstone and a dialogue with passersby; it is safe and for everyone.
“Our Dreams Matter”
This is an Open Call to artists to submit work relating to the above theme “Our Dreams Matter.” We will select eight artworks to be exhibited alongside an artwork from guest artist Genieve Figgis. The selected artworks will be displayed on three separate billboards in Gorey, County Wexford, over six weeks during the summer of 2021. Each piece has it’s very own board. The anticipated launch date is June 28th. Each selected work will be shown for two weeks. Boards are on Esmonde street, at the railway station roundabout at the end of the Avenue and left of the railway bridge as you exit Gorey town in the direction of Dublin.
No entry fee. Selected artworks will be awarded €100.
